Rubio Monocoat believes that wood should be treated with respect. They prioritise bringing out the natural beauty of wood and have a large, unique variety of products and range of colours to do so. Their products are superior in quality and the company has a strong commitment to ecology and sustainability.
Rubio wanted to explore whether simplifying their main image digitally could improve conversion rates for their product listings. Specifically, they aimed to enhance the visibility and readability of key product information to attract and inform potential customers more effectively.
To address this challenge, we conducted an experiment comparing the original image of their Oil Plus 2C tin with a digitally optimised version. The optimised image featured bolder and easier-to-read text, prominently displaying "Indoor Wood Oil" instead of the less intuitive "Oil Plus 2C," which holds little meaning for the average shopper. This approach aimed to make the product’s primary use immediately clear to potential buyers.
The experiment has been running for four weeks and has yielded promising results. We observed a 30% improvement in conversion rates from the new images compared to the existing versions. This significant increase demonstrates the impact of clear, optimised imagery on customer decision-making and conversion.
This project exemplifies our dedication to continuously testing and optimising strategies to enhance product performance and drive client success.
